OSHA and the American Red Cross—In Alliance to Save Lives:
OSHA and the American Red Cross share a common goal—keeping American workers safe. In an Alliance signed between the two organizations, the Red Cross and OSHA work together to provide information, guidance and access to training resources on safety and health topics including emergency preparedness, disease prevention and first aid in the workplace. Parking:
- Lock Haven - The YMCA graciously provides training space to the American Red Cross to offer First Aid and CPR/AED courses open to the general public. However, you may need to pay for parking.
- Wellsboro - The Northwest Savings Bank generously provides this training space to the American Red Cross to offer First Aid and CPR/AED courses open to the general public. Our class room is located on the second floor above the Northwest Savings Bank. The entrance is on East Main Street and prominently displays the American Red Cross emblem. However, you may need to pay for parking.
- Williamsport - Please, note that our parking lot entrance is located off Church Street. The Chapter building has an American Red Cross emblem prominently displayed. Parking is free on our lot.
- Lock Haven - The YMCA graciously provides training space to the American Red Cross to offer First Aid and CPR/AED courses open to the general public. However, you may need to pay for parking.

Certificate Replacement:
You may obtain a replacement certificate at the Chapter in which you were trained. There is a $10.00 replacement fee on all cards. We can not replace expired certificates; only active current cards can be re-printed.

Recommended Dress:
Please dress comfortably. Most skills are done on the floor. NO LIPSTICK should be worn for CPR classes. (This stains the manikins).
- Attendance:
We ask that you try to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the scheduled class time. In order to maximize training time class starting times are firm. The instructor reserves the right to have a closed door policy once the class starts. No one will be admitted to a class who is more than 15 minutes late. You will need to re-schedule for the next available class. (penalties apply) If you do not attend the class and/or fail to notify us prior to class, there will be NO REFUNDS. You will need to re-register and pay for another class.
- Meals:
Meals are not provided during our training sessions. Students attending day long classes will be offered a half hour meal break and other breaks as needed in class. Please, prepare according to your nutritional needs.

Persons with special needs:
Please call in advance to request any special needs you may have. All DVDs are closed-captioned; interpreters may be available given enough prior notice. We can provide one-on-one training for additional fees depending on instructor availability. Should you be pregnant, or have an injury, we ask that you consult with your physician before registering for a class.

Smoking:
Smoking is prohibited in the front of the building. There are designated areas for smoking outside during class breaks.

Security:
There is no access into the building upon the start of classes. All doors are locked once classes begin to ensure the safety of all participants.
- For emergency inclement weather cancellations:
Listen to any Clear Channel (WRAK, WWPA, WBYL, WKSB or Backyard Broadcasting Channel (WILQ, WBZD, WZXR), WJSA or WLYC (am) radio station for information concerning the cancellation of classes/activities due to inclement weather or other disaster. We will notify the National American Red Cross Training Support Center of all cancelations and they may also attempt to contact you by e-mail or telephone.
Disaster Services Training
For all Disaster related training, a pre-requisite is Introduction to Disaster. To take the on-line course, you can go to www.redcross.org click on Disaster Services and select (under Spotlight) take Introduction to Disaster Services Course. If you do not have internet access, please call the office and request to speak to a Disaster Services volunteer at 326-9131.
